Chef Morimoto Entertains At The Daily Meal
On Wednesday, July 17, Chef Masaharu Morimoto and his staff from Tribeca Canvas in New York City joined the The Daily Meal and clients at their brand new test kitchen as part of the website's new Celebrity Chef Series.
With hamachi and fish tacos, Chef Masaharu Morimoto entertained more than 50 guests, delighting them with demonstrations including how to break down Hamachi, a Japanese fish also known as amberjack, and prepare hamachi fish tacos.

During the demonstrations, the chef and staff of Tribeca Canvas passed around lamb buns, spicy tuna, duck gyoza-sweet chili sauce, and lotus chips with wasabi guacamole as appetizers to go along with traditional East Mule cocktails made with Bombay Sapphire East, tea, and ginger.
The event welcomed many of The Daily Meal's clients including KitchenAid, Plain and Fancy, All-Clad, and others. As part of their series, The Daily Meal has previously hosted celebrity chefs including David Burke and Joey Companero. The next celebrity guest chef will be Top Chef Masters winner Floyd Cardoz.
Chef Morimoto, who appears on Food Network's Iron Chef America, and previously competed on Japan's Iron Chef, has restaurants in Philadelphia, New York, Florida, California, Mumbai, New Delhi, Honolulu, and Mexico.
