Chef Michael White Announces New Steakhouse In London
Add Chop Shop to the extensive list of Michael White restaurants.
The Crown Estate announced its deal with Altamarea Group to bring the steakhouse to the St. James's development in Haymarket.
The 2,350 square-foot space is now under a 10-year lease that will transform into a butcher shop-inspired establishment.
Will Guess, owner of nearby Rowley's Restaurant, will collaborate with White on Chop Shop's concept. It is a part of a larger development project that aims to become "a premier central London shopping and dining destination."
"With our talented team, we look forward to bringing a unique concept restaurant to this fantastic part of the West End," Ahmass Fakahany, White's business partner, told Big Hospitality.
Chop Shop plans to open late summer.
"It's great to be able to announce this deal, which represents another major step forward in our transformation of St. James's," said Anthea Harries, portfolio manager for The Crown Estate.
