The Cheesecake Factory Opens In Dubai
American chain restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory, has expanded overseas with the opening of The Cheesecake Factory at The Dubai Mall, opposite the Dubai Aquarium.
The restaurant seats 300 guests. It's 13,800-square-foot dining area is open daily for both lunch and dinner. All menu items will be made in-house and cooked to order according to David Overton, chairman and chief executive officer of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated.
The licensing agreement with Alshaya Trading Co., W.L.L. allows the company to develop restaurants in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia in the future. Under the agreement, Alshaya can also open additional The Cheesecake Factory restaurants in their other expanding markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Russia, Turkey, and Europe.
The Cheesecake Factory, which opened in 1978 in Beverly Hills and offered 10 different varieties of original cheesecakes now serves nearly 40 varieties of cheesecake.
