Charlie Trotter Gets Ready To Celebrate 25 Years Before Closing This Month
This Friday, Aug. 17, iconic Chicago restaurant Charlie Trotter's will celebrate its 25th anniversary, and then later this month the chef-owner Charlie Trotter will close the restaurant. Andrew Friedman of Toqueland.com was recently invited to dine at the restaurant and interview the chef about the closing and his plans for the future.
During the interview, Trotter opens up about his reasons for closing up shop (to pursue a degree in philosophy), his incredible work ethic, and about getting people to order a tasting menu from his restaurant.
