Chanel Cafe To Open In Tokyo
Tokyo's Shibuya neighborhood is already pretty fancy, but it's about to get a little bit swankier, because Chanel announced that it will be opening a pop-up cafe where customers can sip coffee and try on fancy lipsticks at the same time.
According to Rocket News 24, the Coco Cafe will open on March 3 on Omotesando in Shibuya. It's a special "beauty event" pop-up designed to introduce a new line of Chanel lip glosses called Rouge Coco Gloss, which has not previously been available in the Japanese market. The lip glosses are set to go on sale in Japan on March 17, and the cafe will give everyone a chance to try on all 24 different shades as a special preview.
The cafe's menu has not yet been revealed, but the cafe will have seating and coffee and will be decorated with a Chanel theme. The cups are virtually guaranteed to become collectors' items. Coco Cafe only runs through March 12, though, so after that people will have to acquire their caffeine buzz and designer lip gloss separately.
