Candy Company Creates World's Largest Lollipop
To all of those holiday fanatics, Happy National Lollipop Day! How do you plan to celebrate the confectioners' delight? Well, one candy company knows how. See's Candies has constructed the world's largest lollipop in recognition of National Lollipop Day.
The See's Lollypop Factory in Burlingame, Calif., worked to construct the 7,003-pound treat, which will be on display July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco in honor of the holiday.
The chocolate delight has gained national attention after officially earning the title of world's largest lollipop designated by the Guinness Book of World Records earlier this week.
"We are so pleased to have created a larger-than-life version of our favorite candy-on-a-stick," said See's Candies CEO Brad Kinstler. "We can't wait to showcase this record-breaking lollipop on National Lollipop Day to our customers in San Francisco."

But See's Candies isn't done celebrating on Friday. The candy company will also be giving out free gourmet lollipops at more than 200 retail shops across the country and is offering reduced prices on boxes of their lollipops until July 23.
See's Candies is also offering a trip to get a glimpse behind the scenes at See's Lollypop Factory. The sweepstakes grand prize includes round-trip airfare for a three-night stay at a San Francisco hotel. Ten contestants will be randomly chosen on Aug. 26 to win a $50 See's Candies gift card.
Candy lovers can enter for their chances to win until July 22 online or at See's Candies retail shop locations.
