Build The Ultimate Summer Popsicle
It just wouldn't be summer without popsicles. But store-bought versions are often loaded with sugar and artificial flavors and colors. If you've never tried making your own healthier version, you should; homemade popsicles are both fun and easy to make. Blogger Alexis Kornblum (a.k.a. Lexi of Lexi's Clean Kitchen and Daily Meal Culinary Content Network member) has some super-delicious ideas for making more nutritious versions of this must-have summertime treat. Just check out some of her healthy popsicle flavors:
Strawberry Peach Swirl, Mocha Chip, Coconut Fudge: in Lexi's own words, "how about those for inspiration?"
In order to build the ultimate healthy and delicious popsicle (and satisfy any craving — whether it's fruity, chocolaty, or creamy) you have to start with some basic equipment: a good popsicle mold, sturdy popsicle sticks, and a blender or food processor. Then you can get creative by choosing a base flavor and add-ins for your popsicles. If you're not sure what to add to your popsicles, Lexi has some amazing suggestions for you.
