Brad And Angelina's Wine Continues To Sell Out
If you were looking to try the wine specially crafted by powerhouse Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, you are not alone, According to E! News, the vino is selling like the proverbial hotcakes.
The wine sold out in just less than six hours, selling more than 6,000 bottles of their new wine, Miraval Rose 2012, in early March and the wine has since been selling out nearly everywhere it is being sold.
So, why the high demand? Well, besides that fact that it carries that Brangelina name, the price tag is one that we mere mortals can attain, selling at $24.99 per bottle. Also, the wine was created from the vineyard at their French estate in a partnership with wine-gurus, the Perrin family. The Perrins are well-established winemakers in the Rhone Valley in France, and the owners of Château Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
On top of all of this, the wine received interesting reviews from critics including Master Chef judge Joe Bastianich who told Vanity Fair that that the beverage was a "a very serious wine," despite also commenting that it tasted slightly acidic and reminiscent of "macerated wild strawberries, confectionary sugars, and strawberry or raspberry PEZ, like the candy."
