Beyoncé Dispels Pregnancy Rumors With Wine Pictures
Despite recent media allegations of a second pregnancy—some even "confirmed"—Beyoncé appears to be attempting to quash any baby rumors by documenting pregnancy no-nos over her various social media accounts.
She posted a photo of herself sitting on husband Jay-Z's lap while enjoying a glass of red wine, as well as a photo of the bottle's label, as though to prove what she was drinking.
She also posted a snap of a menu featuring a starter of salad niçoise, which features tuna—a fish generally on pregnancy do-not-eat lists due to its high levels of mercury.
In mid-May, she posted a second Instagram of a text-only image suggesting her frustration with fans' hopeful speculation about a possible second Carter-Knowles baby: "I can't stop rumors from starting, and I can't really change peoples [sic] minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me." The photo was later deleted from her Instagram account.
Is Queen Bey really expecting? It's still unclear. According to the most recent Dietary Guidelines for Americans (2010), pregnant women should limit their intake of tuna, but can safely eat about 6 ounces per week. However, the same guidelines say, "No safe level of alcohol consumption during pregnancy has been established." Regardless, Beyoncé seems to hope that her fans will let the matter drop.
