Looking to skip the morning coffee but still in need of a morning pick-me-up? This agua fresca, Spanish for fresh water, packs a brisk papaya punch sure to wake you right up. This recipe is courtesy of La Cocina De Leslie

Ingredients
- 2 cup ripe papaya, cut in bite-sized pieces
- 6 cup water
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- ice
Directions
- Puree the ripe papaya with 3 cups of the water in a blender until smooth.
- Pour mixture into a 2-quart pitcher.
- Add enough of the remaining water to fill the pitcher.
- Sweeten agua fresca with granulated sugar to taste.
- Refrigerate agua fresca at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve over ice.
