The Best New Bars: The 2013 Spirited Awards Winners

There's no better inspiration for what — and where — to drink than the Tales of the Cocktails, which wrapped up in New Orleans this last week. The drink community eagerly awaits the Spirited Awards each year, which crown the best of the best in cocktail programs, bars, and bartenders, and we anxiously wait to find out where we should be drinking next.

The bars that took the top prizes this year aren't much of a surprise, in actuality. While most are based in New York City, other cities like Boston and Seattle are home to great cocktail programs, too, including one bar that just opened in 2011. And the bar that took home the "best new cocktail bar" award, a bar that opened just in 2012, is already a hit among New York City's cocktail elite. 

We're excited to recognize the best of the top cocktail bars and programs in the country, as the winners of the TOTC Spirited Awards. After all, we happen to really like great bars. Check out the cocktail bars you should be putting on your "bucket list" of bars to visit.
