Best Honey Barbecue Country-Style Ribs

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 pound pounds boneless thick-cut country-style ribs
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper sauce
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 F degrees. Spread 1 tablespoon olive oil on bottom of a 9x9 baking dish. Place ribs over oil, separating them slightly.
  2. Combine remaining oil and salt in a bowl. Drizzle over ribs and rub in. Bake ribs for 30 minutes.
  3. To make the Honey Barbecue Sauce, combine water, ketchup, honey, worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and red pepper sauce over medium-high heat. Bring to boil. Set aside.
  4. After 30 minutes of baking the ribs, pour the honey barbecue sauce over ribs, reserving about a cup. Return to oven. Reduce the heat to 350 F degrees and bake for another 60 minutes (or longer, depending on thickness of ribs), or until meat is tender. Baste every 15 minutes while cooking.
  5. Transfer ribs to plate and pour remaining sauce over it.
