Best Beer Gardens For Oktoberfest

As Oktoberfest approaches, college kids get excited about drinking copious amounts of beer while we see it as an opportunity to sample a few Bavarian brews and brats while enjoying an outdoor setting. Just like tipplers, not all biergartens were created equal.

Historically, beer gardens in the United States have mirrored the large, open Central European traditional beer halls. But the beer garden seems to have gone upscale with the opening of places like The Biergarten at the Standard Hotel in New York and The Oak Tap in Chicago. In honor of the 100th birthday of the Queens classic, The Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, here is a collection of some of the country's best beer gardens.
