Melissa has worked as a professional writer since 2017. Her first memoir piece, Feeding Piper, was published by Memoir Magazine in 2017. Her short stories can be found in the Schuylkill Valley Journal. She has also written articles for Lithub and Crimereads. Her first novel, "Call Me Elizabeth Lark," was published in 2021. Melissa is excited to write about her obsession with cooking in The Daily Meal.

Melissa holds a BFA in creative writing from Boise State University. She also has certifications in digital media and SEO from Hubspot.
