Experience

Lora has been writing since she was very young and started her educational journey as a fiction writing major. After discovering she also loved to write non-fiction, she switched her major to English and began expanding her writing portfolio. Directly out of college, she worked for a magazine publishing group specializing in craft magazines and became an expert in penning how-to articles. Moving forward, she was hired to work with another publishing group as both an editor and writer on three national newsstand publications focusing on hair and beauty. During her 25-year tenure, she interviewed dozens of celebrities and multitudes of hair, makeup, and nail artists to create articles for readers interested in learning how to look and feel beautiful. In addition, she also served as an editor and writer for a woman's magazine, crafting articles about sex and love, romance and relationships, as well as a wide variety of other topics, including feng shui, diet and exercise, and even how to bake the perfect chocolate cake for Valentine's Day.

Education

Lora graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Iowa.
