Kate started her writing career in college, where she worked in the linguistics department at Northern Arizona University. With a keen interest in creative writing, she wrote multiple personal lifestyle blogs where she could share her favorite recipes, cooking tips, and grocery store favorites. After graduating in 2020, she returned to San Diego and tried her hand at technical writing. She quickly realized she preferred writing and editing in lifestyle niches, specifically travel and food! After writing for various lifestyle brands, she found her favorite audience was food lovers and she pursued that passion right to The Daily Meal.
