Crysta Coburn has been writing professionally for the better part of a decade. She started out as a food blogger before moving into writing for magazines. She has ten years of experience working in the grocery industry, including five years at Trader Joe's in both California and Michigan, where she wrote the orders for cookies and candy as well as coffee and tea. In 2021 and 2022, she won Runner-up Best Journalist in Washtenaw County in Current Magazine.
Education
Crysta earned her bachelor's degree in creative writing and Asian studies with an emphasis on East Asia from Western Michigan University. She was awarded the undergrad fiction award in her senior year.
