Restaurants, Food News, Affordable Food
- Charley is a news writer for Mashed, specializing in restaurants and drinks. Her favorite foods include burgers and perogies but the food that beats all other food is Skyline Chili (4-Way).
- Previous food writing includes a brunch column about brunch spots all around Philly (good and bad).
- She also served as an Americorps member for a year, working with a program dedicated to closing the opportunity gap for children in underserved communities.
Experience
Charley started news writing in college where she was the News Editor for the school newspaper. She went on to create her own column named "Brunch Egg-splained" where she gave real run-downs on brunch places in Philadelphia. Her love of food bloomed when the pandemic hit and all she was doing to stay entertained was learning how to make pasta and finding new recipes, branching away from the typical college tacos and chicken and rice. She is always looking for new foods to try, new recipes to conquer, and of course new places to enjoy some brunch.
Education
Charley studied at St. Joseph's University where she earned a B.A. in English with a minor in journalism. She also worked as an editor on the school newspaper there for four years.
