Arizona Diamondbacks Selling 18-Inch Stuffed Corn Dog
Most baseball fans are just looking to get a foul ball at a game, but if you buy the "D-Bat Dog" — a new concession being offered at the Arizona Diamondback's Chase Field that's an 18-inch corn dog stuffed with cheddar cheese, jalapenos and bacon, you gotta hope you don't get a heart attack instead. This monster of a corn dog will be available this season for $25 at Chase Field.
"This is really about providing our fans with new options each year, and in the case of some of our larger items, it's really about sharing with the family," team president and CEO Derrick Hall said in a statement.
Sure, an 18-inch corn dog may sound a bit much, but this isn't the only time a baseball stadium has offered some serious heartburn-on-a-plate. Take the Walk-Off at Camden Yards in Baltimore: a sausage inside a pretzel roll, topped with crab dip, and then topped with more Old Bay seasoning, or the Meat Lover's Hot Dog offered by the Cincinnati Reds: a deep-fried hot dog, topped with chili, pepper jack, and salami.
