Ad Hoc Fried Chicken Pops Up In New York
Thomas Keller may have Per Se in New York City, but his Napa Valley casual restaurant Ad Hoc and Addendum are still the only places to serve their legendary fried chicken.
New Yorkers, however, may get a taste this Sunday, when Bouchon Bakery at Time Warner Center serves up their Father's Day brunch. For one day, the buttermilk fried chicken will be served in a $38-per-person prix fixe menu.
Luckily, it's not a father's only thing; the menu (which includes Ad Hoc fried chicken, an asparagus salad with poached egg, and blueberry pie), will be served family-style this Sunday, June 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thomas Keller Restaurant Group notes that reservations are not required, but does ask the entire family participate. Looks like pop-ups are going upscale. Note to Keller: Please do this more often. And maybe do a showdown with David Chang sometime?
