5 Naan-Inspired Recipes
Despite the punny title, we do think that the recipes we created around this week's Recipe SWAT Team theme, naan, are actually quite inspired. This week, we were lucky enough to receive a sample of naan from Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads, and the results were delicious.

In many parts of India, naan and other types of bread are often consumed along with (or instead of) rice during a meal, and diners tear off small pieces and use it to scoop up a main dish, usually a vegetable or meat dish cooked in gravy and spices. It's a fun way to eat, but making naan is a time-consuming and laborious process that most home cooks probably wouldn't want to try — it's doable in a home oven, but traditionally, it's made in a clay tandoori oven that reaches much higher temperatures.
In creating dishes that showcase this staple flatbread, some of us went with the traditional approach, and some of us went with a more creative approach. So, it was tough picking the winner this week, but after much deliberation, top honors must go to Carly Goldsmith for her recipe, Naan Pizza. It was just that good.
