Caribbean Mule Cocktail Recipe

The Cuba Libre may very well have been the inspiration for the lime squeeze in a Moscow Mule, so it makes sense that substituting vodka for rum would create a popular mule for the rum-drinker, known as the Havana or Caribbean Mule. We like Ling & Louie's handcrafted version.

Ingredients
  • 1½ ounce dark rum
  • ¼ ounce campari
  • ¼ ounce simple syrup
  • ¼ ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce fresh pineapple juice
  • 1½ ounce gosling's ginger beer
Directions
  1. Combine rum, Campari, simple syrup, lime juice, and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain into an ice filled Collins glass and stir in ginger beer.
  3. Garnish with an orange peel.
