Costco Is Kicking Off Summer With A Very Adult Version Of Capri Sun
The nostalgia of past summers hits hard — and we may still crave the summery drinks we enjoyed as kids. Back then, there was nothing better than sipping on Capri Sun pouches with our friends after a dip in the pool or during a beach or lake day.
Now we have Costco to thank for bringing all of the nostalgia of Capri Sun back to us this summer, albeit with a more "adult" twist. Our favorite warehouse store has started stocking MIZO Hard Lemonade pouches, which have pretty much everything we miss about Capri Sun. They come in a fun pouch shape a la Capri Sun and have multiple Asian-inspired, craveable flavors, but the best part might just be that spike of booze in the drinks. Our mouths are already watering for this grown-up take on our childhood favorite, and it seems like we're not alone — millions of eager Costco shoppers are excited about these "throwback" hard lemonades.

MIZO announced the arrival of their drinks on TikTok, and the five-second video rapidly garnered viral attention. The video, which features side-by side shots of MIZO Hard Lemonade pouches and someone excitedly finding the only Capri Sun in a cooler full of sodas seamlessly captivated the world with its ties to childhood nostalgia. ("Oh, yeah! Capri Sun!" shouts the woman featured in the announcement.) The company even billed the drink as "Capri Sun for adults," which unsurprisingly made it even more appealing to the masses.
Adults everywhere are eating up — or should we say drinking up — the announcement. Many commenters asked where they could buy the drinks or shared their excitement for the boozy concoction ("I'm going to need a whole case," proclaimed one commenter. "My friend group would live for this," another declared.) Thankfully, the commenters who wanted to stock up on the drinks upon the initial announcement now can. The adult beverages, which come in white peach, mango passionfruit, blackberry lychee, and original lemonade flavors, have officially arrived at Costco for $19.99 per eight-pouch case. We have a feeling that MIZO Hard Lemonade will be the hot new drink this summer — and TikTok users won't be the only ones buzzing about it.

Founders Holly Paul and Chris Tran have brought their cultural roots to their drink line, and they're proud to now share them with the world.
Paul and Tran, who are Taiwanese and Vietnamese respectively, grew up snacking on traditionally Asian fruits that their parents grew themselves. Unfortunately, in a world of kiwi, pineapple, and watermelon hard seltzers and spiked lemonades, those flavors that the founders loved in childhood are pretty hard to come by. Enter MIZO's drinks, which blend Asian fruit flavors with the ready-to-drink booze that fuels our cravings all summer long. "We want to be loud and proud about our heritage, and we are so grateful to be sharing some of our favorite Asian flavors with others on retail shelves," Paul told Need That.
