Although these waffles were first dreamed up in 1935, it wouldn't be until years later, in the 1970's, that this brand would see its success skyrocket. In fact, the saying the brand is most famous for, "L'eggo my Eggo," was coined in 1972 and has been said by waffle lovers ever since.

Whether you shop for your waffles at the grocery store, local convenience mart, or your nearby superstore, you'll likely see some variety of Eggos lining the shelves. The Kellogg's Eggo Froot Loop Waffles taste like artificial flavoring personified. Simply put, Kellogg's Eggo Strawberry Waffles are average to us. We like the mild — emphasis on the mild part — strawberry taste, but would choose other Eggo varieties over this one. As former American Idol Judge Simon Cowell once famously said to a performer, "It's forgettable."

"Less strawberries than 'leveling agent' (which is 'less than 2%' according to their ingredients)," a customer wrote. "I don't think the entire box contains enough to total one small berry. It is hard to tell though, because they added beet juice and other coloring. Since beets are not famous for elevating waffle recipes, I assume it's in there to impersonate fruit."

The strawberry pieces add depth to this waffle, but it tastes more like something you'd enjoy with ice cream rather than on its own for breakfast. If you are craving a regular waffle, you may be disappointed with this variation.

We're drooling just thinking about it. Pair yours with sausage links or a few scrambled eggs and you have a hearty breakfast to keep you going all day long.
