Sprinkle-Coated Valentine's Day Sugar Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
3 ½ cups flour
½ cup red, white, and pink nonpareil sprinkles
Directions
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the softened butter and sugar. Cream until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla, eggs, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Cream until combined.
Add in the salt and flour, and mix until the dough comes together. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 F. Scoop the dough into 2 tablespoon-sized balls. Roll in sprinkles, and place on baking sheets sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
