Pharrell Williams Was Fired From McDonald's 3 Times... And Later Wrote 'I'm Lovin' It'
Did you know that Pharrell Williams, songwriter of infectious pieces like "Happy," "Get Lucky," and, of course, "Blurred Lines," was also the guy who wrote the McDonald's jingle?
That's right, Pharrell Williams wrote the infamous "I'm Lovin' It."
We didn't know that either until we heard about it during Pharrell's recent visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers, where the artist also revealed that, in his youth, he was fired from McDonald's not once, but three times.
"Different locations," he clarifies. "I was lazy... I go out there, and I get caught up in the music they play in the dining area. At a certain point they realized that I was no help. I was only good at eating the chicken nuggets."
OK, so he wasn't the best employee. But again, as Williams shares at the top of his appearance, he did write their theme song. That's a pretty big return on some extra McNuggets, don't you think?
