Where Is P-Nuff Crunch From Shark Tank Today?

In October of 2020, Dr. Juan Salinas took the "Shark Tank" stage to pitch his newest product, P-nuff Crunch. With a Ph.D. in Food Science and more than 20 years of experience in product development for some of America's most well-known packaged food brands, Salinas founded Perfect Life Nutrition, LLC in 2015 and had since been on a mission to create the ideal healthy snack (per the P-Nuff Crunch website).

P-nuff Crunch is a plant-based snack made of peanuts, navy beans, and rice, which the website states was "created with the consumer's health and fitness in mind." P-nuff Crunch's nutritional breakdown and fun-to-eat nature weren't lost on the sharks when Salinas made his pitch (especially Mark Cuban, who had tried the product before).

In the "Shark Tank" episode, Kevin O'Leary told Salinas: "I've been working with Mark for over a decade now, and I've never seen him more excited about a product." A deal was made: While Dr. Salinas came in asking for $300,000 for 10%, he left with a $400,000 deal for 25% with Cuban, per Grovara. But where is P-Nuff Crunch today?

P-nuff Crunch is still on the path to success

P-nuff Crunch's exposure on "Shark Tank," along with Mark Cuban's enthusiastic support, was enough to push the product forward. Founder Dr. Juan Salinas told Grovara, "Mark has provided lots of help, especially on marketing. He is helping us lead a rebrand, which is sure to elevate growth."

And according to Techie + Gamers, growth is happening for P-nuff Crunch. As of 2023, it was valued at $3 million, with a reported $1 million in annual revenue, the outlet reports.

Fans can find P-nuff Crunch on Amazon and on the company website, as well as in hundreds of retail stores throughout the country, including Walmart. The peanut-based snack puffs come in three flavors: original, cocoa, and cinnamon; reviewers praise their mild taste and gluten-free ingredient list. Salinas told Grovara that he plans to add more flavor offerings to the snack line, too.

Does P-nuff Crunch live up to its claims?

There are lots of "healthy" snacks out there that aren't actually good for you, which is why it's important to read the nutrition labels carefully. But P-nuff Crunch lives up to the qualifications of a nutritious snack.

As dietitian Keri Gans, RDN, told Shape in 2021, a "healthy snack" includes protein, fiber, and minimal amounts of added sugar and sodium. "You want a snack that will provide enough nutrients that you'll be satisfied and not want to reach for another 30 minutes later," Gans said to the outlet.

P-nuff Crunch comes in at 5 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, 2 grams of added sugar, 135 milligrams of sodium, and 1 gram of saturated fat — passing the "healthy snack" test with flying colors. This snack has earned the "Shark Tank" stamp of approval, and fans can feel good about eating it.
