The Complete List Of S'mores-Flavored Snacks, Ranked
Many of us remember sitting by the campfire as children, longing for gooey marshmallows, sweet chocolate, and snappable graham crackers. However, we certainly weren't the first. In 1927, the Girl Scouts' Manual referenced 's'mores' for the first time, which were originally dubbed 'some more,' because, obviously, don't you want some more s'mores?
These tasty treats may have gotten their start in the midst of the 21st century, but they've remained popular decades after. In fact, many of us are s'mores fiends, chomping at the bit to find on-the-go snacks that can replicate (but nary duplicate) the feeling of biting into a delicious s'more.
If this speaks to you on a spiritual level, one, we feel you, and two, we've found the best s'mores-flavored snacks out there. This ranked list of the best s'mores-flavored snacks will hopefully satisfy your cravings for the time being. Whether you're into crunchy snacks, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate, or sugary marshmallows, we have you covered.
11. Jelly Belly S'mores Jelly Beans
Not all Jelly Beans are created equal, and the Jelly Belly S'Mores Jelly Beans are living proof of this concept. These speckled jelly beans look like adorable little bird eggs (is that weird to say?) but don't quite hit the mark for an incredible s'mores snack.
"This treat could be a summertime favorite or anytime favorite for S'mores fans," the Jelly Belly website reads. Although we agree and think the marshmallow and chocolate flavors really shine through, Jelly Belly could have added hints of graham cracker in there (although we don't know how they'd pull that off in a jelly bean).
You can find the Jelly Belly S'mores Jelly Beans mixed into the variety packs or in their own one-pound bag that can be purchased at stores like Walmart. However, if you get the variety pack, you'll probably get distracted by the other more substantial flavors like juicy pear or watermelon. Don't say we didn't warn you when all you have left are the licorice and s'mores-flavored beans.
10. Kodiak Cakes Protein-Packed Single-Serve Flapjack Cup S'mores
Trying to hit your daily target protein goal but want something s'mores flavored? Kodiak Cakes has single-serve s'mores pancake cups that make an average mid-day snack.
These are decent at times and somewhat enjoyable, but they certainly can't come close to S'mores Goldfish. To be fair, the goldfish in question have zero servings of protein in them and these have 12 grams (so pick your poison).
A reviewer on Target's website said, "It's pretty good. I really like it, a good amount of chocolate chips and a decent amount of marshmallows." "Pretty good" and "really like it" don't usually go together, but we kind of get where Bobby is coming from on this one. Some bites of this single-serving flapjack taste like a few days-old chocolate chip pancake, while others are delicious and marshmallow-y.
All in all, this is an easy s'mores snack that will fill you up and can be taken on the go. And sometimes, this is all it takes to make a decent snack, but it certainly isn't our favorite s'mores treat.
9. ONE Bars Limited Edition S'mores
For those who are looking for a s'more treat without tons of sugar, the S'mores ONE Bar fits the bill. This protein bar has just a single graham (hehe, s'mores joke) of sugar, which makes it an ideal pick-me-up.
"Life's too short for anything boring, tasteless, or chalky," as the Amazon copy for the ONE Bars explains. Hard agree. Plenty of us have spent too many years in college eating protein bars that sat in our digestive tract like a sack of bricks. Luckily, the ONE S'more Bars don't make us feel like we need to excavate our stomachs, but they certainly aren't a gooey marshmallow.
These bars feature 20 grams of protein and are even an option for all our gluten-free friends out there. Although it doesn't necessarily taste like a traditional s'more, these ONE bars do have all the components of a s'more (like chocolate and marshmallow) without you feeling like you've overdone it on dessert.
8. Kellogg's Pop-Tarts Frosted S'mores Pastries
Are you on team toasts-the-crap-out-of-their-Pop-Tarts or on team straight-out-of-the-package? We have to say, we're definitely partial to the gooey marshmallow and oozing chocolate after a Kellogg's Frosted S'mores Pop-Tart is toasted.
In fact, some of us are not even a fan of how these taste when they're cold. It almost feels like eating your favorite frozen ravioli without cooking it: So close to being good. But, the toasted version? Elite.
"They have the taste you love from those fall campout days with the family," a Kellogg's reviewer explains. The outer shell is graham-cracker based and coated in a thin layer of chocolate. Inside the pocketed goodness, you'll find gobs of liquified chocolate and marshmallow.
Some people have even gone a step further and added a giant marshmallow on the outside of the s'mores Pop-Tart and then popped it in the microwave. If you have extra marshmallows laying around, this is a stellar addition to an already-good snack.
7. S'mores Bark Crisps
S'mores were given an adult facelift with these Bark Crisps from Target. The base of milk chocolate pairs perfectly with the neutralizing graham cracker cereal pieces and the baked-in marshmallows.
"Pretty decent chocolate, crispy Golden Graham pieces, and yummy marshmallows," a reviewer explained on Target. Tough critic, because the "decent chocolate" is actually the ideal s'mores milk chocolate (but we digress).
Although these are easy to just pull out of the bag and eat, they can also be used for a variety of other delicious treats. Call it s'mores inception, if you will. According to the Target website, you can even "add these on top of ice cream" or cut them up into chunks to add to cookie dough. The possibilities for deliciousness are endless.
Pro tip: Don't leave these in your car like some of us have. They will melt and cause a sad blob of chocolate in their wake (although you can eat some of the mixture like a true s'mores fiend with a spoon).
6. Stuffed Puffs Big Bites S'mores Filled Marshmallow Snacks
Although the Stuffed Puffs Big Bites S'mores Filled Marshmallow Snacks have always reminded us vaguely of a corn dog, they are pretty tasty. Each marshmallow has a chocolate-filled center and is coated in a generous helping of graham cracker crumbs.
"Nice big marshmallows & chocolate inside," a reviewer wrote. These s'mores are a marshmallow-lovers dream. The oversized, fluffy marshmallows have oozy milk chocolate inside, and the outside is rolled in as many graham cracker pieces as the marshmallow can hold.
Pick this easy treat up at one of your usual retailers. These are available at Walmart, Cabela's, Publix, and many more places.
Our pro tip for the Stuffed Puffs? The next time you have a regular campfire, give these the regular s'mores treatment. You'll have a delicious marshmallow with even more to love, thanks to the extra chocolate and graham crackers.
5. Golden Grahams S'mores Chocolate Marshmallow Breakfast Bars
These Golden Grahams S'mores Bars combine the taste (and stickiness) you love in a traditional s'more, but without the mess. "They were not too sweet, and the combination of Golden Grahams, mini marshmallows, and chocolate was great," Walmart reviewer Kenya shared. We couldn't agree more, Kenya.
Golden Grahams (as a cereal) already have the whole treat thing down pat, so adding chocolate and marshmallows to the mix is only making this snack better. You can even do an influencer-style pull-apart of the bar and see the little sticky strands of marshmallow woven throughout (but maybe don't document it on your Instagram, or do it, we're not your parent).
Besides the generous sprinkling of chocolate chips, you'll also be treated to a dipped chocolate bottom on these Golden Graham S'mores bars. The melty milk chocolate may leave some residue on your hands, but it's totally worth it once you take that first, delicious bite.
4. Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies, Toasted Marshmallow
You can almost never go wrong with the traditional Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies, and the toasted marshmallow edition is no different. Although these cookies don't have a traditional graham cracker outer shell, you'll still get that s'mores feeling with the decadent chocolate sandwiched between a toasted marshmallow layer.
"I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that the marshmallow actually tasted toasted as though you toasted it over a campfire," reviewer Dara shared on Walmart. If you're part of a camp that loves to almost light your backyard on fire whilst trying to burn the crap out of your marshmallow, you'll love these. The toasted, almost blow-torch-like aspect of the marshmallows, is the most appealing part of this cookie.
These are also easy treats to take on the go. You won't have to worry about getting sticky marshmallows all over your hands, which makes them a great snack or lunch box addition.
3. Quaker Chewy S'mores Granola Bars
If you were born in the late 1990s, you probably have very distinct memories of eating these bars as a child. You may have come home from a long day of 1st grade (tough life), grabbed a Quaker Chewy S'mores Granola Bar, and watched some Lizzie McGuire.
"These are absolutely fun to eat, getting bits and pieces of marshmallow in some bites, chocolate in others, and if you're lucky, the mix of all in one," Influenster reviewer Jonathan said. Plus, at 9 grams of whole grains, per the Quaker website, the Chewy S'mores Granola Bars are an easy way to get some carbs in there.
Plenty of s'mores-flavored snacks are high in calories, and although they are delicious, they may not fit into your daily eating routine or goals. Luckily, the S'mores Granola Bars from Quaker will give you the meltable chocolate chips you crave combined with tiny, adorably-sized marshmallows in a whole-grain package.
2. Ben & Jerry's Gimme S'more Ice Cream
Being an adult isn't so bad when you're able to eat unlimited amounts of Ben & Jerry's Gimme S'more Ice Cream. This creamy marshmallow ice cream has ribbons of graham crackers, chocolate cookies, and delicate chunks of chocolate. It's the ideal snack for those hot summer nights when you'd love to eat a s'more, but you might sweat to death if you sit in front of a campfire.
Trust this fan who left a passionate review on Ben & Jerry's website (and not just because they asked very nicely), "Trust me, I'm a huge s'mores guy and the fact that this ice cream has a bit of a cracker-y feel to it is proof they actually use graham crackers," reviewer Drew explained.
The thing that sets this ice cream apart from others is the delicious lazy river of graham crackers. Something about the way the hearty trail of graham cracker crumbs and the chocolate cookie play together is peak deliciousness. You'll have wished you'd have grabbed a few more pints because the first one will go quickly (it's that amazing).
1. Goldfish Grahams S'mores
Although the Goldfish website claims the first ingredient to the Grahams S'mores is smiles (kind of creepy, to be honest), they certainly have a lot more to them than just a toothy grin. This snack has a trio of different flavors, with each piece fashioned into the traditional fish shape we all know and love.
The brown Goldfish are cocoa-flavored and meant to represent the chocolate part of a s'more, whereas the tan pieces are made of sweet graham crackers. And we certainly cannot forget the crowning achievement of this mix: The small, poppable marshmallow fish.
Similarly to Lucky Charms, we feel like the general population would swoon over an entire cereal box filled with just the little marshmallow fish from the Goldfish Grahams S'mores. Although these don't have the mouthfeel that traditional marshmallows do, they do taste the same, but just in a more compact package.
And as Amazon reviewer Caitlin Spry so eloquently put it, "It's like a miniature s'mores party without a fire."
