The World Food Championships In Las Vegas Announces New Bacon Partnership
The World Food Championships announced a partnership with Wright Brand Bacon, Yahoo Finance reports. The company will be the title sponsor for the new Bacon World Championship competition, which is taking place at the annual World Food Championship in Las Vegas. The event is from November 7th to 10th and will feature a series of competitions.
The event annual brings together people from the best food competitions and online recipe contests to compete in a single battle for fame and a $300,000 prize. This year, the World Food Championships will be a tournament-style competition and will include several categories. The event will end with the Final Table competition, in which the champions from each of the seven categories will compete before a celebrity panel. One will be crowned the 2013 World Food Champion.
Bacon is a new category that has been added this year. As title sponsor, Wright Brand Bacon will be awarding the winner of the category Bacon World Champion along with $25,000. The brand will be featured in pantries of all category competitions. The meat will also be served at the Ultimate Bacon Experience, a bacon-centric event that will be occurring on Saturday, November 9th.
Other categories included in the 2013 World Food Championships are classic American cuisines, including barbecue, chili, burgers, sandwiches, and dessert and recipe categories.
