Wolfgang Puck Named James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

Wolfgang Puck, arguably the first ever celebrity chef in the nation, will receive the James Beard Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award on May 7.

Puck, who clocked in at number 13 on our Most Powerful People in Food list, was the first chef to cook a guest-chef dinner at the James Beard House, and the only chef to win two Outstanding Chef awards. This is the man with 21 fine dining restaurants, a cooking show Emmy, and of course, the honor of cooking for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' wedding.

The awards ceremony will take place Monday, May 7, at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall.
