The Wieners Circle Gets A Reality Show
It shouldn't come as a surprise that someone decided to give The Wieners Circle a reality TV show — foul language, fighting, and occasional nudity are integral to the genre, after all, and The Wieners Circle has those things in spades.
What is a surprise is that they evidently managed to gather some footage that can actually be aired on television, considering that the most famous of all Chicago's many hot dog stands is known more for its verbally abusive staff, ridiculously drunk and rowdy clientele, and "chocolate milkshakes" than its char dogs or terrible cheese fries.
The Wieners Circle TV show is scheduled to air this Tuesday at 10 p.m. on truTV. According to the show's web site, "those customers who are willing to take the fun to the next level are invited to try their hands at outrageously irreverent and hilariously embarrasing challenges."
Considering The Wieners Circle's normal customer base, be prepared to see a lot of extremely drunk Lincoln Parkers debase themselves for free hot dogs. Come to think of it, maybe this show is a brilliant idea after all.
