10 Largest Food Truck Rallies In America (Slideshow)

Held annually for the past five years, the Atlanta Street Food Festival boasts almost 70 food trucks along with live music and entertainment, shopping, and only a $6 entry fee. This year's event will be held on June 11 and June 12 in Stone Mountain Park, with On Tapa the World, The Fry Guy, King of Pops, and Sweet Auburn Barbecue all slated to attend.

Columbus Food Truck Festival, Columbus, Ohio

The 6th Annual Columbus Food Truck Festival will commence on August 12 and 13, and it plans to feature over 70 of the best food trucks in Ohio along with arts and crafts, fun activities, live music, and an old-fashioned carousel. Admission is free, so attendees will only need to pay for their delicious dishes from Tatoheads, Pitabilities, and Schmidt's Sausage Truck.

The Great Texas Food Truck Rally, Dallas

There have been only two Great Texas Food Truck Rallies so far, but the size more than doubled between those years (13 trucks, 10,000 guests in 2014 to 31 trucks, 20,000 guests in 2015), and the organizers expect an even bigger showing in 2016. Benefitting Executives in Action, the admission fee is $10, and a portion of the food and drink sales will also go to the charity. Trucks previously in attendance were Easy Slider, Flatlanders Taco Company, Fried Pies for All, Vegan Noms, and What's the Scoop?

H & 8th Night Market, Oklahoma City

On the last Friday of every month from March to October, food trucks from all around descend on downtown Oklahoma City for H & 8th, one of the largest food truck events in the country. Though it began with only three trucks and 400 guests back in 2011, the volunteer-driven, not-for-profit event drew over 30 trucks and between 20,000 and 40,000 people every month last year, with popular stops including Roxy's Ice Cream Social, Smokin' Okies, Kaiteki Ramen, a craft beer garden, live music, comedians, and even a bicycle valet service. No charge for admission.

Main Street Food Truck Festival, Little Rock, Ark.

On Saturday, October 3, 2015, over 45 food trucks converged over a five-block radius for the 5th annual Main Street Food Truck Festival in Little Rock. In addition to great eats from Eat My Catfish, The Pie Hole, Slader's Alaskan Dumpling Co., and Wok'n Roll, there were planned activities for children, arts and crafts for sale, and five beer gardens — with free admission!

Seattle Street Food Festival, Seattle

With over 50 food trucks in addition to a multitude of other vendors, the Seattle Street Food Festival is the largest of its kind in the region. The three-day bash and its free admission attracts more than 85,000 visitors each year, and last year's event (in August) featured People of the Chubbs, Brown Bag Baguette, Thai-U-Up, and Charlie's Buns N' Stuff.

Street Eats Food Truck Festival, Scottsdale, Ariz.

In addition to over 65 food trucks, the 2016 Street Eats Food Truck Festival in Scottsdale also featured live music, eating contests, cooking demos, and cocktail and beer bars. Although admission cost $12, every truck is required to sell $2 "sample" items on their menus with 2 Fat Guys Grilled Cheese, Charred Woodfired Pizza, Maine Lobster Lady, and Mustache Pretzels all in attendance.

Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally, Tampa

The first Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally had nine trucks, 4,000 visitors, and complete sold out of every type of food. Several years later, the event now boasts a rotating group of about 100 trucks in total, operating on both regular (usually the second Thursday of every month for the Lakeland Event) and sporadic bases, with about 20-30 trucks per event. Favorites include Jimmy's Famous Seafood Express, Just Smokin BBQ, Mr. C's Grilled Cheese, and Who's Your Dumplin?

Taste of Three Cities, Baltimore, Md.; Washington, DC; Philadelphia, Pa.

Introduced as the Taste of Two Cities (Baltimore and Washington, D.C.) in 2012, the food truck rally added a third location, Philadelphia, in 2014, and thus the Taste of Three Cities was born. The event just announced it's fifth-annual Baltimore installment, which will take place on June 4, 2016 from noon to 9 p.m. Admission costs $11.49, but includes live music and performances, and will grant guests access to over 60 trucks (last year's top picks included the Cow and the Curd and Gypsy Queen Cafe), and a $53.49 ticket option includes an all-you-can-drink feature. Similar prices and details should apply to the Washington and Philly events, too, but they have yet to be announced.

The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally, St. Petersburg, Fla

When looking for the largest food truck rallies in the country, the World's Largest Food Truck Rally in St. Petersburg, Florida, is clearly a no-brainer. An annual tradition for the last four years, the most recent installment was a Halloween-themed event that saw over 100 food trucks gather from all over America, including Bokados De Mi Tierra (Mexican), The Maine Thang (seafood), Mmm BAP (Korean) and Tropiccool Gelato and Sorbet. The event benefits Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA), is pet-friendly, and free for kids 14 and under.
