Bushmills Irish Honey ($25)
The latest release from Northern Ireland's only distillery mixes the smooth Bushmills Original with local honey. The combo has a touch of sweetness and is a respectable 70-proof.
Concannon Irish Whiskey ($25)
The Concannon family, whose California vineyard dates back almost 130 years, has recently partnered with County Louth's Cooley Distillery to produce this dram. The alcohol was matured in bourbon barrels as well as ones that held petite sirah wine, giving it a subtle grapiness with a dry finish.
Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel ($38)
Jameson is, by far, the most popular Irish whiskey in the U.S. And this past fall, it added the brawny Select Reserve Black Barrel to its portfolio. The liquor's robust blend includes a special small-batch sweet grain whiskey, and it's aged in bourbon barrels and sherry casks.
Redbreast 12 Cask Strength ($70)
We really enjoy Redbreast 12 Year Old, which is made in a traditional pot still. And just in time for the holiday, the brand has introduced Redbreast 12 Cask Strength. It's a potent 115-proof and non-chill-filtered, with big dried fruit, spice, and vanilla notes.
