Sticky Salty Sweet: DIY Salted Caramel Sauce
Recipe adapted from Food & Wine
Serves: makes 1 cup
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup cream
1 pinch salt
Directions:
1. Heat sugar, water and vanilla in a pot.
2. Bring to a boil, remove from heat when sugar is completely dissolved and caramelized.
3. Stir in cream and add a pinch of salt.
4. Spread salted caramel on everything...or at least wait until it cools to eat it straight from the pan.
