Starbucks Japan Readies Chestnut Lattes For Fall
It's not yet Labor Day, but September is just around the corner, which means it's just about time for Starbucks to roll out its specialty drinks for fall. While the Pumpkin Spice Latte has the most vocal fans, this year it might have some competition because Starbucks Japan is celebrating autumn with a new set of limited-edition chestnut-flavored lattes and Frappuccinos.
According to Rocket News 24, Starbucks Japan will be introducing the "Roast Nutty Chestnut Latte" and "Roast Nutty Chestnut Frappuccino" on September 1, but they will only be available through September 30. Both drinks are reportedly made from a paste of almonds, hazelnuts, and chestnuts, and appear to be served with a drizzle of caramel on top.
Both the Frappuccino and the latte will be available in all sizes, and the latte is reportedly available either hot or iced. That's probably a good thing, considering that temperatures in Tokyo are still in the 80s.
