Spotlight: Pier 1 Imports

In 1962, in a small shop in San Mateo, Calif., Pier 1's story began. With a baby boomer following, the store's initial success was due to the need for beanbag chairs, incense, and bohemian décor. Since then, the brand has blown up, with more than 1,000 stores, and stands as North America's largest specialty retailer of home furnishings and décor. 

With a strong emphasis on seasonal schemes, their home furnishings mainly consist of accessories and décor that pertain to main living areas like kitchens, living rooms, family rooms, and outdoor entertaining spaces.

Though it has certainly evolved from being a hippy's haven, the brand still oozes charm with its endless amount of accents, from colorful tabletop settings to patio furniture with endless amounts of candles and vases to match.

Affordable and eccentric, Pier 1 will remain a destination for hosts and hostesses alike for years to come.
