Snackshot Of The Day: Serving Soup

The Daily Meal's editors, contributors, and readers dig into some pretty great restaurants, festivals, and meals. There's not always enough time to give a full review of a restaurant or describe in depth why a place, its food, and the people who prepare it are noteworthy, so Snackshot of the Day does what photographs do best, rely on the image to do most of the talking.

Today's Snackshot is of chefs prepping soup at a gala in Columbus, Ohio. The Short North Gala celebrates local business owners in the Short North Arts District of the capital city. The food is provided by nearby favorites such as Rigsby's Kitchen, DeepWood, and Marcella's, with the chefs on hand making their specialties. Of course, once the food is served and the bellies are full, the chefs are brought onstage to be introduced and appreciated.
