Snackshot Of The Day: Katz's Reuben
The Daily Meal's editors, contributors, and readers dig into some pretty great restaurants, festivals, and meals. There's not always enough time to give a full review of a restaurant or describe in depth why a place, its food, and the people who prepare it are noteworthy, so Snackshot of the Day does what photographs do best, rely on the image to do most of the talking.
Today's Snackshot is of the Reuben sandwich at Katz's Delicatessen in New York City. Katz's is a classic New York deli located in Manhattan's Lower East Side. The sandwich consists of corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. You'll likely have to wait in a line of tourists, but any Katz sandwich is worth the wait. Another classic served there is the pastrami, a mound of smoked pastrami so big that it can be intimidating to the average eater.
