Ingredients
- 1 medium sized smoked pork shoulder
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 sliced cooked bacon, diced
- 3 granny smith apples, cored, and sliced
- 2 cup louisburg cider
Directions
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and basil together with oil.
- Take the pork shoulder and pierce with a fork all over the meat. Rub the mixture onto the pork, covering it as evenly as possible.
- Place pork in slow cooker and place chopped apples and bacon around the shoulder. Pour apple cider over the contents.
- Place lid on and cook on high for 8 hours or low for 12 hours.
