Singapore's In-N-Out Pop-Up Sold Out In 5 Minutes
Sure, In-N-Out may have a billion stores in California and one in Utah and another in Texas, but plop their logo in Singapore and burgers will sell out in five minutes.
The burger chain brought their international pop-up to Singapore yesterday, with plans to run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Burger fanatics started lining up at 9:30 a.m., and 300 wristbands were given out, and at 11:05 a.m., burgers were reportedly sold out.
"If we — as women — knew what premature ejaculation felt like, it would probably feel a little like how we felt at 11: 05 a.m. today," a writer for inSing.com said.
One blogger wrote that more than 500 people lined up, and burger prices were marked at $6 for a Double Double, $5 for a cheeseburger, $4 for a hamburger, and $1 for chips and drinks (strangely missing from the report: animal-style fries).
Of course, In-N-Out has done international pop-ups before, staging them in Tokyo, Sydney, and Shanghai. Sydney's pop-up reporteldy sold out within an hour. While In-N-Out has not announced plans for international expansion, we imagine they'll continue teasing people with these pop-ups just to get people's hopes up.
