Santa Ynez Valley Wine Country

The Central Coast is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in California. With its panoramic view of the ocean and mountains and wide array of culture, it's no wonder the area attracts so many visitors.

The coast is also home to the best wineries in the state. Just off of Highways 101 and 246 is the Santa Ynez Valley, home to more than 100 award-winning wineries and approximately 55 varieties of grapes. Each winery is a wonderful stop to sample different varietals and learn the background of the wine making process, sometimes from the winemakers themselves. The Santa Ynez Valley was also featured in the 2004 Academy award-winning film Sideways, a story about two men in their 40's who take a road trip to the wine country.
