Alder And Birch At The Orleans Hotel And Casino Las Vegas Teach Patrons The 'ABCD's' Of Dining
With $30 million worth of renovations taking place in stages, we were happy to see that the Orleans is now enticing locals and tourists alike to come and experience dining that is on par with some of the best hotels on the Strip.
Alder and Birch now features cocktails and dining (hence, ABCD) at the very sleek and upscale flagship restaurant that once housed the aging Canal Street venue. With its modern accents, double sided fireplace, and warm brown and beige lounge type seating, visitors will be pleasantly surprised by improvements made.
Featured on the menu are traditional steaks and seafood that all can enjoy. Prime and house dry aged steaks are offered along with a variety of sauces, including classic Bearnaise, creamed horse radish, mustard Cabernet, and a red wine demi-glace. If you want a steak sans sauce, try a topping of grilled mushrooms, Bleu cheese, and sautéed bone marrow, or even a fried egg. The Wagyu coulette sirloin, a house dry aged steak, is an excellent choice which can be drizzled with a Madagascar peppercorn sauce.
An array of seafood dishes are offered, including grilled wild Pacific salmon, pan seared diver scallops, and the oven-roasted sea bass with herb-crusted lemon and spinach puree. This sea bass is lauded as one of its signature dishes and it is indeed a delight. Other options that shouldn't be overlooked include the Colorado rack of lamb with a spicy addition of Serrano Mint Gelatin and the double cut Kurobuta pork chop with pan fried apples.
The cocktail program is both innovative and classic. The Alder & Birch maple Manhattan, comes with crown royal maple whiskey, maple syrup, angostura bitters, sweet vermouth, and a strip of candied bacon. This cocktail is a sweet, smoky, bacon infused version of the classic Manhattan. The Bourbon Street pays homage to its NOLA heritage with Four Roses Bourbon, chocolate Bitters, fresh Lemon, and a dash of egg froth. A well rounded wine and beer selection are also available.
The Orleans Hotel and Casino is jazzing up its restaurant vibe in flavorful fashion with its take on American classic cuisine. With an inventive spin on everything from the food to the decor, Alder & Birch has successfully redefined its influence on the the Vegas dining scene. The Orleans Hotel and Casino is now a very attractive and affordable place to stay, play and dine in Las Vegas.
