Whether you're the host or hostess who loves to make dinner from scratch for friends, or the kind of person who orders in delivery and serves it on your own platters and bowls, everyone should have a collection of versatile serving dishes to serve your every need.

birthday cake (or party punch), to a Christmas trifle, to a steaming bowl of pasta on a Wednesday night. When it came time to build our own registries, we knew from our catering past which pieces we couldn't live without. After all, no one wants to be carving a turkey and realize halfway through that they don't have a large enough platter to plate up the bird.
