Shrimp And Fettuccine Fra Diavolo

Ingredients
  • 8 ounce fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 pound uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 23 1/2 ounce ounces classic marinara sauce, such as prego farmers’ market classic marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • parmesan, to garnish
Directions
  1. Set a large pan of salted water over high heat and bring to the boil. Once boiling, add the fettuccine and cook according to packet instructions.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet set over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, until tender, stirring occasionally. Add the shrimp, crushed red pepper, and garlic, and cook for 3 minutes, stirring often. Add the wine and cook until almost evaporated. Stir in the marinara sauce, and cook until the shrimp are cooked through and the mixture is hot. Season to taste.
  3. Add the fettucine to the sauce and toss to coat. Sprinkle Parmesan on top and serve immediately.
