Ingredients
  • 4 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 can refrigerated classic pizza crust, such as pillsbury™
Directions
  1. In a deep heavy 3-quart saucepan, heat the oil to 350 degrees F.
  2. Meanwhile, remove the dough from the can, do not unroll. Cut the dough into 12 1-inch slices. Cut each slice in half crosswise to make 24 pieces. Roll each piece into ball, and then set aside.
  3. In a small brown paper bag (like a lunch bag), mix the sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Carefully place the dough balls into the hot oil. Cook until light golden brown, about 30 seconds. Using a wire skimmer or metal slotted spoon, transfer the doughnuts to the paper bag with the cinnamon sugar. Fold the top of the bag over, and shake until the doughnuts are coated. Serve warm.
