Charred Salsa Verde
Green tomatillo salsa with fresh cilantro, jalapeno and lime.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound tomatillos
- 1 - 2 cloves garlic - skin removed
- 2 jalapeño peppers
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 large sweet white onion
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon mexican oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
- 1. Removed the outer skins from the tomatillos and rinse to remove any stickiness. 2. Slice thee jalapeño peppers in half and removed the white membrane and the seeds. 3. Coat a baking sheet with oil and place the peppers, tomatillos and garlic on the pan, skin up. 4. Broil in a preheated oven for about 8 - 10 minutes until the skin begins to blacken.Removed from the oven and cool. 5. Place all of the ingredients in a blender food processor and process until smooth. 6. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
