Party Like It's The '90s
For the generation who grew up with angsty grunge music and tuned into TRL every day, there will always be a place in our hearts for the last decade of the 20th century. Though they weren't that long ago, the '90s were a special time that produced a ton of great gimmicks, TV and of course music. And if you are considering throwing a decade party for a friends birthday or looking for a way to spice up a saturday night, consider turning to the 90s for some party inspiration.
The Look
You party should be adorned with Joe Boxer smiley faces and as much Lisa Frank as possible. Tell guests to arrive in their favorite 90's outfit whether it is an old starter jacket, a ripped flannel shirt or a "tattoo choker." You could even dress up as your favorite Spice Girl or Power Rangers.
What to Serve
So you might not be able to find some of the classics, but there is definitely a ton you can do to harken back to the good old days. Dunkaroos are still on shelves and you can totally make a hilarious Lunchables DIY bar. Plus there are tons of 90s inspired drinks that you can make that reference our favorite '90s rom-coms!
What to Do
If you happen to have your Skip-it or any of your old Pogs feel free to totally bust them out. If you don't, try watching an old 90's flick, testing your drinking skills with this' 90s power-hour, or simply dancing to this awesome playlist. We promise it'll help you party like it's 1999 (or 1990-1998)!
