Oscar Mayer Releases Bacon-Scented Alarm Clock App

Oscar Mayer's new Wake Up and Smell the Bacon app, perhaps inspired by Michael Scott's love of his morning meeting with George Foreman, is designed to wake you up with the sound, and even the smell, of bacon. The app, which is currently only available for iPhone, comes with a dongle that plugs into the iPhone's headphone jack and "releases the smell of bacon as the alarm sounds," according to Mashable.

However, Oscar Mayer is only making a limited number of bacon alarm clocks, which will not be available for purchase. In order to get one, fans must take a quiz on Oscar Mayer's website.

The contest, which runs through April 4th, is the latest project from the Oscar Mayer Institute for the Advancement of Bacon, a "consortium of the world's greatest bacon minds dedicated to unlocking the bacon's deepest mysteries for the benefit of bacon lovers everywhere."
