You Can Rent Julia Child's Home In Provence Starting This Summer

This is how to eat (and cook) like Julia Child. Earlier this year, we reported on the news that Julia Child's former home in Provence, La Pitchoune, was sold to a couple who planned on turning it into a culinary retreat for amateur and professional cooks.

True to their word, Yvonne and Makenna Johnston, according to Conde Nast Traveler, have made the quaint country home available for rent starting this June.

The official cooking retreat — complete with a yoga sanctuary — won't begin in earnest until 2017, but the Johnstons will begin taking reservations for Child-enthusiasts who want to get a sneak peak of the culinary mastermind's former country abode.

"La Peetch" contains three quaint bedrooms, a swimming pool, and a kitchen that has stayed intact and looks almost exactly like it did when Child lived there with her husband, painted with the outlines of the cooking utensils that she actually used when she was alive.

A stay a "La Peetch" is a "must-do" item on any Francophile chef's bucket list.
