South Korea Gets Its First Shake Shack

Today, Shake Shack opened its first-ever South Korea location on Gangnam Avenue in Seoul.

The new location offers Shake Shack classics including the ShackBurger, SmokeShack, and Shack-cago Dog, according to a release.

Randy Garutti, CEO of Shake Shack, said, "We were determined to find the perfect spot for our new home, and where better than the lively and vibrant Gangnam District—one of Seoul's greatest community gathering places. We're thrilled to bring the same delicious burgers and fresh-made frozen custard to those who have visited us in New York."

True to form, the menu features a Seoul-exclusive red bean shake and four location-specific frozen custard concretes: Shack Attack, Honey Butter Crunch, Shack Style, and Gangnam. Shack Attack features chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough, Lumiere chocolate chunks, and crunchy chocolate pearls.

The Seoul location will donate 5 percent of sales from Shack Attack to support Vision School, a local charity that works to provide a safe haven for children of low-income families.
